One Cup Coffee Makers - The Right One for You

!9#: One Cup Coffee Makers - The Right One for You

Pod One Cup Coffee Makers

One cup coffee makers are not only recommended for households of one or for households with just one coffee drinker. We do happen to think they're perfect for both of those scenarios, but we also encourage you to think about them in settings that are not just about the quantity of people using them, but about the variety of people using them. Do you entertain frequently? Own a business? Imagine being able to offer your friends and employees any type of their favorite beverage, every day. You can do just that with a one cup coffee maker. Perhaps you have a waiting room setting, who wouldn't feel welcomed and calmed by the addition of a one cup coffee maker? Hotel rooms? Small book store? You name it, there almost isn't an environment in which we don't think a single cup coffee maker isn't a good idea. If you've got electricity, chances are that you or someone else would welcome the addition of a one cup coffee maker.

Benefits to the One Cup Coffee Maker

Extensive Variety & Option

Okay, so we may have hinted at this already, but it's probably our favorite part, so let's go a little bit deeper! The majority of one cup coffee makers are pod coffee makers, which means the possibilities for your hot beverages are just about limitless. Whether you're using standard pods, K-Cups, E.S.E (Easy Serving Espresso) pods or T-Discs, you really have your option from anything to the deepest, darkest coffee available, to the fruitiest most exotic, (and yes, even the light styles too!) all the way across the spectrum to black tea and iced cherry green tea and completely different options like hot cocoa and special espresso drinks. Did we mention caramel latte macchiato pods? Or skinny cappuccinos? You can go as basic as a Folgers pod or as high as illy espresso pods. We like to think the world is at your fingertips with a single serve coffee machine, and if you haven't yet been exposed to the fun and flexibility of the options they provide, you're missing out.

Quick & Easy

We're a convenience based society, clearly. That's why you can get your movies with the touch of a button, deposit checks from your living room and have your lunch delivered to you. It only makes sense that in every other way we attempt to make our life easier that we would turn to the most convenient ways to get our coffee as well. Typically this means coffee shop coffee, which eliminates the need to buy coffee beans, grind coffee beans, prepare the coffee maker, brew the coffee, clean up the coffee grounds, etc. But, a coffee shop is actually really not all that convenient. First of all, it requires you to drive somewhere, and unless it's a drive-through, you have to get out of your car, walk in and walk out. Second, the time spent waiting for the coffee is completely unpredictable. If you've ever been in line with a barista-in-training, you know what we're talking about. Third, the quality is unreliable. (See previous mention of baristas-in-training). And last, but not least, the price is not convenient. When you're talking + for a basic coffee, upwards of and for something fancier, that's a pretty inconvenient investment.

Enter a single cup coffee machine! There's just about nothing more convenient than making reliably good coffee, within the convenience of your home, brewing start to finish in under a minute, and having to do nothing more than push a button. If that's not convenience defined, we aren't sure what is! You'll be amazed at the time and money you will save yourself with a one cup coffee maker.

Cost Saving

One cup coffee makers are economical for multiple reasons. Number one, when you only make one cup of coffee at a time, there's a pretty good chance you'll finish that one cup. If you make an entire pot (because, let's face it, who ever makes just half a pot?), chances are pretty good that a good portion will get tossed down the sink. They're also economical in the time they will save you if you're considering one for your own home, but even more so if you're putting one in a business or office setting. No longer will one of your employees have to set aside side time to keeping up with making sure the coffee pot is full and doing the cleaning and maintenance associated with typical coffee makers. Keep your workers spending time on tasks more valuable than making morning coffee for everyone else.

Popular One Cup Coffee Makers

If you're looking for an option that will be up to the task of meeting a large office's demands, a popular pick is the BUNN AutoPOD Commercial Grade Auto Eject pod coffee maker. It's specially designed to meet the needs of a crowd, anywhere from 1 up to 50, and our favorite feature is the Auto-Eject, which means no one ever has to deal with hot pods any longer. It ejects and dispenses them for you into a bin that holds up to 25, so you don't even have to worry about constantly emptying the tray.

For espresso, one of the most popular options is the Gaggia Illy Plus. It has a 4-part Mavea water filtration system, which not only means better tasting espresso for you and an added confidence that you're drinking safe water, but it also means a longer life for your new espresso machine since you don't have to worry about build up slowing down the machine. But the best part? It comes with a steam wand for milk steaming and frothing! You get every perk and benefit of a single cup espresso maker and you can make authentic drinks like lattes and macchiato and cappuccinos!

For the most basic and affordable product, great for every day home use without too many bells and whistles, we prefer the Hamilton Beach Hot Beverage Center. It works with both pods and coffee grounds, and dispenses water as well, for things like instant soup and oatmeal. It comes included with a removable and reusable stainless steel filter and also gives you the option of brewing tea bags or loose leaf tea. And, it's under !

Caffeine Content of Gourmet Coffee Roasts

!9#: Caffeine Content of Gourmet Coffee Roasts

Many coffee lovers don't know that there is a difference in gourmet coffee roasts beyond the color and flavor. The little known fact about coffee is light roasts contain a bit more caffeine than dark roasts. In addition to roast, the type of coffee bean also affects the caffeine content. This is helpful to know when choosing which blend of gourmet coffee to brew in the office, especially if you're in need of a bigger boost.

Light Roast vs. Dark Roast Gourmet Coffee
It may be surprising to learn that the amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee can vary. The truth is the amount of caffeine will vary with the type of roast. For all types of gourmet coffee including Caribou coffee, Starbucks coffee or any other brand, the amount of caffeine is slightly higher in light roasts.

The reason behind this phenomenon goes all the way back to the roasting process. Dark coffee is roasted for a longer period of time, compared to light roasts. The darker coffee goes through a longer roasting process in order to develop a fuller and smokier flavor. Lighter coffee goes through a shorter roasting process to produce a sharp, acidic flavor. When the beans are subject to a longer roasting process, the caffeine contained in the bean is slightly "roasted off" resulting in lower caffeine content than beans with a shorter roast time.

Robusta Vs. Arabica
Another factor affecting the amount of caffeine in your cup of gourmet coffee is the type of bean used. Typically, there are two types of coffee beans: Robusta and Arabica. These two beans differ in regards to where they are located, their flavor, and their production requirements. In addition to these differences, the amount of caffeine contained in the beans is different.

Robusta beans are more abundant around the world and can be grown at lower elevations. The plants do not require an exceptional amount of attention and ultimately produce higher caffeine content beans than Arabica plants. It is believed that Robusta beans actually contain up to two times more caffeine than Arabica beans. Robusta beans can normally be found in Central and Western Africa as well as Southeast Asia.

Arabica beans, on the other hand, are more fragile than Robusta beans. They need more protection from insects and other pests and also require cool climates, higher elevation and a lot of moisture. Arabica beans tend to yield lower caffeine content than Robusta beans and are typically found in Latin America, Eastern Africa, Arabia and parts of Asia.

Many online cheaper coffee suppliers offer a wide variety of roasts and beans to satisfy the preferences of every employee in the office. One person may want a little more caffeine and opt for a light Caribou coffee roast whereas someone else may prefer the taste of a darker Starbucks coffee roast. Offering a variety of gourmet coffee with various caffeine levels will keep employees happy and grateful to have a selection.

These online coffee suppliers make it easy to stock your break-room by offering convenient pre-measured coffee packets that can be delivered directly to the office. By ordering discounted gourmet coffee online from cheaper coffee suppliers, you will save time and money. The only work you have to do is pick which gourmet coffee the employees will like and that is the fun part.

How to Make Your Own Cappuccino at Home

!9#: How to Make Your Own Cappuccino at Home

The taste of a good cappuccino is totally lip smacking and some times people just cannot start their day without a cup of cappuccino.

Cappuccino is a rich, dark coffee whose recipe originated in Italy. The name cappuccino actually comes from the resemblance of its color to the robes of the monks of the Capuchin order.

Cappuccino has a large volume of foam making it a light weight drink and less filling than other coffees. You need to take equal parts of frothed and steamed milk and espresso, the milk being on top of the espresso. You can then sprinkle any number of toppings on your cappuccino, such as nutmeg, cinnamon or chocolate powder.

Start With Good Espresso

To make a good cappuccino you have to start with good espresso, which you get from doing the following: Grind the beans fine, press the espresso down firmly, use a high pressure machine or stove top model, don't make too much at once, the creama must be visible on top as a golden-brown foam, and use an espresso cup to keep the temperature from cooling down too quickly.

The Difference between a Cappuccino and a Latte

Lattes are also half espresso and half milk. In case you are wondering what the diffence is between a cappuccino and a latte, to make a latte you take the espresso and the milk and pour the milk down the side of the cup, mixing it into the espresso.

Making the Froth

Where does the frothed milk come from for cappuccinos and for lattes? If using a French press for a foamer, heat a cup of non-fat milk in a microwave or on the stove to a temperature that is not too hot for you, pouring it into a plunger pot that has been rinsed. Pump the plunger in the pot for a few minutes and the milk will expand to three to four times its volume, creating the froth for your cappuccino (or latte).

Getting Your Own Cappuccino Maker

If you have a coffee addiction, you may want to shop for a cappuccino coffee maker so you can make your own at home. A nice characteristic about the counter top model is it can steam milk for cappuccino and latte's. When purchasing a cappuccino maker keep in mind that if you entertain frequently, you may want to shop for a cappuccino machine that makes several cups of cappuccino at one time.

Conclusion

Once classed as luxuries, many items of equipment such as grinders, cappuccino makers, espresso makers, and other drinks makers now adorn homes all over the world. By having your own equipment and making your cappuccino at home you save money.

Another great benefit is being able to make yourself some cappuccino whenever you want. Running out to purchase a cup of your favorite coffee will be a thing of the past. You simply walk to your kitchen and put together your favorite brew.

amzn.to This is the Amazon page for my more detailed review of the Keurig B60. You'll also be able to see the exact product I bought right next to my review. Amazon has the best price and it arrived snugly packed in just a few days after I placed my order. I was desperately wanting a single serve coffee maker that makes excellent coffee and I got one in the Keurig B60. I did think of buying the Tassimo T45 and I did compare the Keurig and the Tassimo very closely, but in the end I went for the Keurig B60. I've had it a couple of weeks and I'm thrilled with it so much so that I put a video here AND on Amazon where I bought it. You can see the B60 and check it out for yourself here at Amazon amzn.to
